Coach Blest’s Story
Blest Jones is a Los Angeles–based tennis coach, artist, and creative whose journey is rooted in the belief that discipline and self-expression can coexist. Introduced to tennis at a young age in Washington, D.C., Jones developed his foundation through competitive junior tennis, where the sport became a teacher of resilience, focus, and accountability. Long hours on the court instilled habits that would later translate into every area of his life — showing up consistently, trusting the process, and learning through both wins and setbacks.
Alongside tennis, music played a formative role in shaping Jones’ identity. Beginning in the church choir, he learned rhythm, harmony, and emotional expression, discovering a creative outlet that balanced the structure of competition. Where tennis strengthened his mental toughness and discipline, music nurtured his creativity and emotional awareness. Together, these two worlds formed a unique lens through which he approaches performance, connection, and growth.
After relocating to Los Angeles, Jones transitioned into coaching, finding purpose in mentorship and community building. Working with players of all ages and backgrounds, he emphasizes more than just technical development — focusing on confidence, mindset, and personal growth both on and off the court. His coaching philosophy centers on meeting athletes where they are, helping them build self-belief, and using tennis as a vehicle for life lessons that extend far beyond the baseline.
Today, Jones continues to harmonize tennis and creativity through coaching, music, and brand building. Whether he’s on the court developing the next generation, in the studio creating, or collaborating across disciplines, his mission remains consistent: to inspire confidence, foster community, and help others find their rhythm through discipline, passion, and purpose.
